How Jameson concludes his introduction on Utopianism in The Archaeologies of the Future:
Some radical critiques think that Utopianism is useless because it lacks the agency. However, it does a great job making the viewers or readers think about the unrealizable or even the unthinkable in the current situation. As a third way, what we can do (if we are not yet sure about our position with regards to Utopianism) is being an Anti-Anti-Utopianism. It is a position that can be compared to those who is torn between a “flawed communism” and “anti-communism” which to him is “even more unacceptable.”
